Kathleen Fox advises organizations, businesses, and civic leaders on strategies for communities, including revitalization, community facilities, housing and inclusive neighborhoods, public policy, community engagement, and community and economic development.

Previously she led consulting teams for public, nonprofit, and private sector organizations building libraries, community centers, and arts and cultural facilities. In a prior role, she was one of 17 national Strong Cities, Strong Communities fellows of the German Marshall Fund of the United States. During her SC2 Fellowship, she assisted the mayor of Youngstown on a variety of projects to improve economic development, city service delivery, and regional cooperation. She focussed on blight remediation, code enforcement, and green infrastructure.

Fox’s past roles included directing the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission and initiating the restoration of Ohio’s Statehouse. She has been a keynote speaker and presenter at many conferences and workshops, including the International Economic Development Council, American Society of Landscape Architects, Mid America Trails and Greenways Conference, Ohio City/County Management Association, and numerous arts, museum and historic preservation organizations.
