Angelyn Chandler
Angelyn Chandler is an architect and the vice president–planning at the New York Power Authority, where she leads the Reimagine the Canals initiative to catalyze economic development across upstate New York.
She has extensive experience in park development and urban design, most recently as a vice president in the Capital division at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, with a project portfolio focused on waterfront resilience, and as deputy commissioner for Capital Programs at the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Earlier she was a capital program director for NYC Parks, and led the Community Parks Initiative, the reconstruction of NYC’s beaches following Superstorm Sandy, the development of Freshkills Park, and the construction of the High Line Headquarters.
Chandler received her undergraduate degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and her Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
