Baye Adofo-Wilson
Baye Adofo-Wilson is a lawyer and developer focussing on urban mixed use, mixed income, and renewable energy projects. In his prior role as deputy mayor of the City of Newark, he headed the Department of Economic and Housing Development. Before his Loeb Fellowship, he cofounded, built, and directed the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District and managed North Jersey’s Green Jobs Training and carbon abatement programs. He created the Lincoln Park Music Festival and cofounded the National Hip-Hop Political Convention to increase political participation of young people. Following a stint in the US Army (he won the 1987 Soldier of the Year Award) Adofo-Wilson got a BA at Rutgers, a masters in regional planning from Cornell, and a law degree from University of Pennsylvania.
