Carol Gladstone
Carol has over 45 years experience in real estate in Boston, with experience ranging from private commercial development to leadership of the state’s capital projects and real estate agency.
She began her career as a Project Manager and then Vice President for the Beacon Companies, where she was responsible for the Hotel Meridien (now Langham) and Rowes Wharf.
Following her time as a Fellow, Carol pivoted to work in the public sector, as Assistant Receiver for Community & Economic Development for the City of Chelsea, then under state receivership. In 1996, she founded a development services company, GLC Development with two partners; this company joined Stantec in 2012.
In 2014, she was asked by then Governor Baker to join his administration as Commissioner for the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), the state agency responsible for capital planning, project delivery and real estate for all state agencies. At the change of administration in 2022, Carol was asked to remain in her role, and retired from state service in 2023.
