The LOEB Fellowship

Deidre Schmidt is an innovative and tenacious housing professional.  She has a unique mix of technical, transactional, organizational planning, development and policy formulation experience in both US domestic and international contexts.

She is principal of One Roof Global Consulting, which helps to improve the quality, access and affordability of housing throughout the world. Clients include development and finance companies, network organizations, foundations and government clients.

Previously, she was the executive director of the Affordable Housing Institute, a Boston-based nonprofit that works exclusively outside of the United States, with a focus on the global south.Schmidt has worked in both the for- and nonprofit sectors in project and enterprise management and investment analysis and underwriting in the U.S. as vice-president of development at Brighton Development Corporation, acquisitions manager for the National Equity Fund and director of national consulting for Artspace Projects, Inc.
