Jeffrey Logsdon’s work experience is divided between education and interdisciplinary practice in architecture, landscape architecture, and art. His design projects and land use planning activities engage with existing sociocultural and ecological systems and the place-based relationships in rural and urban settings. Logsdon is the former head of Writtle School of Design, University of Essex, and director of the Landscape Architecture program. He directed the formation of the design school and led development and accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate Landscape Architecture programs. From 2013 to the present he has consulted in landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and design competitions. In addition to his teaching and practice, Logsdon’s personal projects include writing; studying German culture; developing a free library café for art, architecture, landscape, and music; and renovating a castle close to Leipzig.
