Judith LaBelle’s career has been spent at the intersection of sustainable food, land use, and community development. She was a partner in the NYC law firm Berle Kass and Case, which was an early leader in environmental law, and served as counsel to the NYS Commission on the Adirondacks in the 21st Century.  She was then the founding president of Glynwood, a nonprofit located in New York’s Hudson Valley, which is devoted to regional food systems and sustainable development. She served in that position for 17 years and now spends most of the year in her home in Costa Rica, where she continues to pursue her interests through land conservation and sustainable agriculture activities in Costa Rica as well as the United States.
