Terrence M Curry
Terrence Curry is a Jesuit Catholic priest, architect, educator and craftsman. He has a PhD from TU Delft, MDiv from the Jesuit School of Theology, ThM from the Institute for Black Catholic Studies and BArch from the Pratt Institute.
Founder of the UDM Detroit Collaborative Design Center, he has taught, practiced architecture, worked in communities of need, and promoted design as a means for social change throughout the USA, in Eastern Europe, and China. His areas of interest are community design, design theory and methodology, neuroaesthetics, design education, and tectonics.
Terrence founded St. Joseph Studio Workshop in spring 2021 as a community design center committed to making quality design services accessible to ethnically diverse communities of need. He is executive director. He is also professor and director of the Advanced Design and Fabrication Lab at Tsinghua University, Institute for Future Human Habitats, Shenzhen, China.
