Chee Pearlman
Chee is the Arts & Design curator of TED Conferences, working with architects, designers, choreographers, theater directors, and artists to create powerful talks for the TED stage. These “Ideas Worth Sharing” are seen by millions of viewers online.
Previously, as director of the consultancy Chee Company Inc, she oversaw the Curry Stone Design Prize, curated the acclaimed exhibition “Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History,” and served as program director for the Art Center Design Conference. As a journalist, she has contributed to The New York Times, Newsweek, Travel & Leisure, Wired, and Architect’s Newspaper. She is the former editor-in-chief of I.D. Magazine, which was honored with five National Magazine Awards under her direction. Chee is the author of Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History, and editor of Spectacle by David Rockwell, Made You Look by Stefan Sagmeister, and Perverse Optimist by Tibor Kalman. She has served on the national boards of the American Society of Magazine Editors, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, and the Art Directors Club.
Chee is honored to have served as Secretary and Vice President of the Loeb Alumni Council.
