David O’Malley was responsible for the planning, design, and development of residential, retail and hotel projects in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Colorado, Wyoming, Florida, India, and Lebanon.

O’Malley founded O’Malley Partners and Community Research and Development in 1995 as a vehicle to provide a team approach to planning, design and project management for developers, investors, and governments.

He taught at Harvard GSD and lectured at the University of Maryland, the  Art Center College of Design, Pepperdine University, and UCLA Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning.

David passed away on February 1, 2024 at the age of 86.
