As an architectural photographer in pre-photoshop days, Jane Lidz worked with a 4”x 5” camera under a dark cloth. Her first job after receiving her Master of Architecture degree was as a photographer for the Historic American Building Survey. That body of work is in the Library of Congress. Next SOM hired her to photograph Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. She worked happily in that profession from 1980- 2001.

During that time she authored several published books. Titles include Rolling Homes: Handmade Houses on Wheels and photographed Water and Architecture with text by Charles W. Moore. For the past 20 years she has worked as a mixed media artist in San Francisco.
