Jennifer Yoos, FAIA, is a principal and CEO of Minneapolis-based VJAA, the recipient of the 2012 AIA Architecture Firm Award and numerous other national awards for its residential, educational, cultural, and community projects. She is the coauthor, with partner Vincent James, of a monograph on VJAA’s work, as well as Parallel Cities: The Multilevel Metropolis (Walker Art Center and D.A.P/Distributed Art Publishers, 2016). Yoos practiced architecture both independently and with firms in Minneapolis and London prior to joining VJAA as a design principal in 1997. She received her graduate diploma in design from the Architectural Association in London and her professional degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota. She teaches architecture, most recently as the Ruth and Norman Moore Visiting Professor at Washington University in St. Louis.
