Ramiro Almeida

After his Harvard Loeb Fellow graduation, he was appointed as instructor and scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focused on innovation in the areas of design, technology and entrepreneurship. Mr. Almeida centered his work at the intersection of introducing new technologies into society and designing systems adaptable to urban environments with specific optimization variables.

His research work underwent a transformation into a MIT spin-off company, thus allowing the creation of his first startup in the U.S., Optimus Ride Inc., which he founded along with Dr. Ryan Chin. The company designed, deployed and operated self-driving vehicles in New York, Virginia, Massachusetts and California.

He is a Co Founder of Tram.Global, with a mission focused on reducing carbon emissions through digital marketplaces that enable people to turn small actions into global change, starting with sustainable mobility.
