Moving in
Please let Loeb staff know of your arrival dates/times ahead of time. Susan and Rosana will arrange handoff of Strobel House or Doebele House keys with you directly.
Pets
Animals and pets of any kind are strictly prohibited in Doebele House and Strobel House. If you require disability accommodation for a service animal please speak with Loeb staff.
Cleaning
Biweekly cleaning services are provided for the shared Harvard residences as listed below in Doebele and Strobel House. Please note that cleaning your personal living spaces (individual bedrooms and apartments) is your responsibility. If there’s an urgent issue regarding the shared spaces, please contact staff and we will help coordinate a visit from Harvard cleaning services.

Amenities
Amenities provided at the houses include limited cleaning products, linens, and towels. Floor plans and inventories will be provided to you over the summer. The Doebele and Strobel Housing Guidelines, which are in Doebele House and each Strobel apartment, will provide more specific information about housing amenities.
Mail gets delivered daily to your residential address via the United States Postal Service (USPS), but does not get picked up. Please drop addressed and stamped mail at a blue USPS mailbox or a USPS office (Mass. Ave. at Central Square, Mt. Auburn St. near the Harvard Kennedy School, Inman Square). If mail comes for the previous residents, please forward it to the Loeb Office – you’ll appreciate this next year when they do it for you! (Addresses are generally accessible through the Loeb online directory). Mail for earlier Loeb Alumni may be recycled.
Parking
There is limited dedicated parking at both Doebele and Strobel Houses. Strobel House residents and guests can typically park in the driveway. There are two permanent Harvard parking lot passes at Doebele. Doebele House guests can temporarily park in the Doebele House parking lot. Please speak with Loeb staff if you wish to have permanent access to a parking space. Cars parked on the street require a Cambridge resident parking pass.
Trash
Doebele
You are responsible for taking out and bringing in your garbage and recycling bins weekly. Trash and recycling are collected once a week on Wednesday morning (except when there is a Monday holiday, and then it is Thursday morning). Put trash out in the evening of Tuesday or early Wednesday morning. Please recycle in the recycling bins.
Strobel
Dispose of your unit’s garbage, recycling, and compost in the bins provided in the driveway. Harvard University Waste Management will empty them weekly.
Maintenance
Report anything that needs to be fixed to staff! If there are repairs or maintenance needed in your unit, please submit a GSD Facilities Help Ticket and then notify Rosana Restrepo. GSD Facilities staff will then work with you to quickly resolve your issue.

Moving Out
The last day to vacate Loeb housing is June 30th. Please keep us posted on your move out dates, so we can coordinate cleaning and security checks. When you leave, we ask that you leave your keys on the kitchen table in each house.
